Folding Up Predictions
Future improvements will come from an ability to fold automatically
the predicted helices and sheet components into complete three
dimensional protein structures. Understanding the chemistry of the
protein can help in this folding process. If you know the amino acids
involved in the chemical reactions performed by the protein you can be
sure that those amino acids are close together in the structure. This
gives clues as to how to arrange the helices and sheet components in
three dimensional space.
